Secrets To Million Dollar Emails

A short guide, templates and frameworks

I came to an epiphany…

To get to my goal of scaling my company I need hire and train people…

So I have two reasons for writing this:

1. I wanted to write this guide as a way to guide the next generation of marketers, starting with an easy, low-hanging fruit skill that has a major impact on any business.

2. Get new hires up to date on HOW I do things. Keyword: I. There are many ways to do email marketing, there’s no right way, but these are the ways I’ve found to be the most efficient to get the most dollars per subscriber, while not churning and burning the list.

Let’s start by answering a simple, but deep question…

Why email marketing?

Acquiring customers at a profit, break-even or even loss on scale is going to be the north start of any direct response marketer.

But email marketing is where you will make the majority, if not all of your profits.

Because by that point, you ALREADY have the customer.

Remarketing to them is virtually free (only fees is going to be your email autoresponder / software)

Meaning if you play your cards right, you can get a monstrous LTV.

Where to find great emails…

It’s simple.

Sign up to newsletters.

Make a list of the following…

Top ecommerce stores.

Direct response brands.

Personal brands, think coaching, consulting, etc…

Then:

1. Sign up to their newsletter

OR…

Don’t be cheap now…

2. Buy their products so you get on their newsletter.

My favorite emails to study are from Agora Financial.

If you don’t know Agora Financial, you have a lot of work to do as a marketer.

But basically they are a financial publishing company that sells financial products, with their flagship being stock picking newsletters.

They sell products ranging from 50 bucks all the way to tens of thousands of dollars.

It’s fascinating to see how each email sells another offer, multiple offers or how they position their offers.

The most important factor nobody talks about with email marketing is…

The list itself.

Listen, if you have a great list of customers built over the years with a personal brand.

With someone / a brand that is TRUSTED, LIKED and NURTURED over years…

You can shit out an email on a piece of toilet paper and that would convert.

You don’t need any of this.

You can have a million dollar launch without sweat.

This is of course the IDEAL scenario.

And one you should work towards.

But we rarely work from ideals.

So with that out of the way let’s get to the fun part.

The interesting part, and what I want to teach you, is getting a dead simple list or even  cold leads to convert.

Over and over again.

Getting MAXIMUM money out of your list with pure marketing play.

Let’s start with the HIGHEST leverage play…

Which is the SUBJECT LINE.

The better your subject line > the more people open your email > the more people click your links > more people buy your offer.

Everything starts from your subject line and downstreams from there.

Subject lines are very similar to how you would write a headline.

Captivating, punchy and curious.

Alright, I got sidetracked… I was traveling and now I’m in Prague…

For one of my first activities I decided to play some poker in the Ambassador Casino.

Quite a nice place. Lots of tables available.

I suck at poker. I was playing low stakes, 1/2USD blinds with 500 dollars in play.

And playing poker always exposes how my mind works.

Realizing that you are your own worst enemy.

So what do cards and copywriting have in common?

You play the player.

If you don’t know who the fish is at the table, you’re likely the fish. 

And unfortunately for me, I rarely know who the fish is.

Same thing in marketing or copywriting.

It blows my mind how many times I ask beginning copywriters to write an email for a VSL, product or service.

And they do not even bother reading the whole sales page…

Or watching the whole VSL.

That is just plain laziness.

And just like in cards…

You have to study off the table, before you even go play at the table.


Or else you blow your whole stack like me, I should listen to my own advice!

So after you study the pond where you will fish (the list), and you come up with a great headline, you work the body copy…

And for this I will give you a very simple formula to follow.

This is the same basic formula you will use for almost any piece of copy you will ever write.

LEAD

STORY

OFFER

CLOSE

It’s that simple.

Learning to write in this structure, in short form like email, will give you the muscle memory needed to write longer form sales letters.

I won’t break each section in detail. That’s for future posts.

But here’s an example of an email written by a good friend.

It follows this exact structure. And always prints money for me when I send it.

Manifestation email example…

Subj: Pinocchio = Pineal Gland?

Subj: Hidden meaning of Pinocchio movie

Subj: Pinocchio is the secret to manifestation

I’m guessing most people have seen Disney’s classic, Pinocchio, or are least familiar with the story of the wooden doll that desperately wants to become a real “boy”.

Well, it’s a lot more than a simple children’s movie.

Walt Disney, was a high ranking freemason with deep knowledge of the occult… and you can see clues of this throughout many of Disney’s movies.

For example, if you take the name Pinocchio…

Pin (pine) and occhio (Italian for eye) you have “pine eye”... or in other words… pineal.. Which is your third eye.

In the movie, in order to become a real boy… or to ascend… he had to stop telling lies… stop being deceived by his friends… stop getting intoxicated with alcohol amongst other things…

So really, Pinocchio is just an allegory for our pineal gland… 

And a lot of what’s in the story of Pinocchio holds true for us… 

If we want to ascend… and achieve our highest state of consciousness by activating our pineal gland… you can get several clues on how to do this from the story of Pinocchio.

But that’s part of it…
