3. Clickbank had a couple of long standing astrology winners. (Met these fellas in Mexico, hilarious bunch!)

I then started brainstorming…

I knew a couple of people who kept failing trying to run astrology readings.

So that wasn’t going to be my path.

But while in a bookstore I saw this love spell book.

The second book you see in my hand is a clue for later ;)

Then after Googling a bit I found love spells being offered on Etsy.

I even found love spells being sold via a messenger chat / whatsapp chat on Facebook ads.

The choice was easy.

I got started and wrote a whole sales letter for a love spell offer…

The CRO Booster:

At first it had a lower CVR than I hoped for.

But the BIG BOOST came when I added an optin page on the button that made them AGREE to 3 crucial points.

Too lazy to dive deep into the psychology behind it but I’m sure you get the point.

I didn’t actually have the HIS NAME part when I ran it so this is an innovation from the swiper. 

Price points frontend and bump

The best price point when I ran it was 17 dollars. Don’t ask me why, I split tested 7, 11, 17, 27 and 37.

17 just worked the best.

As for the bump offer, 12.77 USD for a DOUBLE the power of the enchantment worked the best. 

Overall AOV ended up being 50 dollars.

This is what the a competitor did - but it would work better if he put the RIVAL REMOVER as an upsell.

Another innovation I found… The request page:

I never did this but a competitor put a request page in between the opt-in and checkout page.

Upsell 1

The best upsell 1 is a RIVAL REMOVER, HEX HER, CAST HER AWAY, ETC…

The idea is that if the man is currently ignoring her, there’s another woman in his life that’s taking his attention. So you need a spell to remove her.

Upsell 2

Upsell 2 is a bit more complex. And I don’t think I ever found the BEST upsell 2. 

However I did find success with a protection spell. To make the relationship last forever.

This was my favorite part about the offer.

Doing tarot readings.

Back when I ran this offer there was no ChatGPT.

So I went to the bookstore and bought these tarot cards, a book on it and just read up.

When a customer bought a tarot reading I would shuffle the cards and bust out a reading.

It was a lot of fun. And is a MASSIVE PROFIT + LTV booster.

AOV on a tarot reading was easily 100 USD +

So you only had to sell 10 of these a day via email to make a 1000 dollars of profit.

Here’s why I stopped running it

You have to be careful running this type of offer. 

You’re dealing with a highly emotional customer in a state of impulse.

While refund rates are fine, well below 5%. 

Chargeback rates can easily spike above 1% in a single month.

This is what happened to me.

It got me banned on Stripe.

They still hold 31 thousand dollars:

While it’s nothing for me today.

It was a crazy expensive lesson for me back then.

I keep it there as a reminder.

Here’s what I’d do if I ran it today…

First, I’d get proper payment processing. 

The same ones eCom guys / dropshippers or infomarketers use.

Then, I’d work on a stronger backend.

Astrologer with pay per minute functionality.

This would print literal millions.

The reason I didn’t do it is two-fold.

Pay per minute chat functionality is more complex than it sounds. Both tech and processing wise.

That’s why companies like OnlyFans, Kasamba and webcam websites can charge a big % fee.

Luckily with today’s tech, white label solutions and AI this would make it a lot easier.
